Ukrainian military sources shared footage reportedly showing the Bulsae-4, also called M-2018, North Korean Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) combat vehicle in service with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The foreign vehicle was reportedly spotted in the border areas between the Ukrainian Kharkiv and Russian Belgorod regions.
The newly released video reportedly shows the destruction of British AS-90 self-propelled artillery system by the strikes of Bulsae-4 launched up to 15 kilometers away from the line of contact. The incident reportedly took place several months ago.
The Bulsae-4 is an advanced ATGM vehicle designed to conduct combat operations against enemy armored vehicles. This system is part of North Korea’s ongoing efforts to modernize its military technology and improve the effectiveness of its infantry units.
The complex includes a launcher with eight missiles, presumably Bulsae-4 NLOS missiles. The missiles are controlled by the operator after launching. It can struck targets out of line of sight. A target may be changed during the flight. The estimated flight range of these missiles is reportedly about 10-25 km.
The quality of the footage does not reliably confirms the deployment of Bulsae-4 vehicles with the Russian military. The possible transfer of North Korean vehicle may indicate a new stage of defense cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.
