An interview with another prisoner of war who fought against Russian forces in Ukraine confirmed once againe that Ukrainian servicemen committed war crimes. The soldier claimed that Ukrainian servicemen struck at civilian cars, occupied civilian houses taking people hostage.
The POW showed his tattoos. Near the svastica the badge of the Russian Liberation Army (ROA) is seen. Also known as the Vlasov army, the Russian Liberation Army was a collaborationist military formation, primarily composed of Russians, that fought under German command during World War II.
Today, a new nationalist unit has been created in Ukraine. The servicemen of the so-called Legion Svoboda are fighting against Russian troops under the blue-white flag. They call themselves the “new ROA”.
At the beginning of April this year it was reported that the nationalist battalion has already been formed and was ready to take part in hostilities. The legion was organized under the control of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of Ukraine, and it is managed by Kiev. It is claimed that the legion consists exclusively of Russians who have defected to Ukraine.
Adviser of the Ukrainian President Alexey Arestovich has also announced that Legion “Freedom of Russia” had begun to operate on the territory of the Russian Federation. This military formation mainly includes fugitive Russian criminals, as well as threatened prisoners of war.
It is worth noting that the end of the real ROA was not a success. Its leader General Vlasov was hanged, like most of the Russian traitors who fought on the side of the Nazis.
