- Russia announced a temporary ceasefire on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory starting from 00:00 of 8 May;
- Despite the announcement of the ceasefire, the AFU attacked positions of Russian troops 173 times. In total, 488 violations of the ceasefire have been recorded;
- The AFU shelling Tarasovka and Novoolenivka on the Konstantinovka direction;
- Ukrainian drone attacks were recorded in the area of Kotlino in the Pokrovsk direction;

- A civilian was killed by the AFU artillery attack in the Kherson region;
- Russian air defense forces shot down two JDAM bombs, one HIMARS projectile, one Neptune missile, 182 UAVs over the past day.
