This map provides a general look at the military situation in Syria on November 28, 2017:
- The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has been working to clear the ISIS-held pocket south of al-Maydin, on the western bank of the Euphrates River;
- The SAA has liberated the village of Mustarihah from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in northeastern Hama;
- Hayat Tahrir al-Sham have retaken 3 villages which it lost to ISIS in northeastern Hama earlier in October.
