This map provides a general look at the military situation in Syria on February 8, 2018:
- The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) develop momentum against YPG/YPJ forces in the Afrin area;
- The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) liberated a large area from ISIS in the northeastern Hama pocket and repelled a Hayat Tahrir al-Sham attack west of Abu al-Duhur;
- The US-led coalition struck positions of the SAA in the province of Deir Ezzor and now MSM is claiming that over 100 SAA troops were killed.
