- On Dec 25, Pakistan warplanes attacked Barmal border areas of Paktika province and reportedly killed 46 people and wounded six others;
- On Dec 28, Taliban attacked Torkham, Dand Wa Patan and Tri Mangol border area;
- According to the Taliban, 19 Pakistani servicemen were reported killed. However, Pakistani media cited officials stating that one serviceman was killed and seven others were wounded.
