A brief overview of the recent developments in Egypt’s North Sinai:
- ISIS terrorists attacked Egyptian security checkpoint near the city of Bir al-Abd;
- According to the Egyptian Military spokesman, the Egyptian Armed Forces foiled ISIS attacks on a security base in North Sinai. 18 ISIS militants were killed and 3 VBIEDs were destroyed. Also 2 soldiers were killed and 4 were wounded;
- On July 18, ISIS claimed IED attack targeting armored vehicle near the city of Rafah.
