A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- At least 3 civilians were killed when a mortar shell landed on a their house in Joye Dukhtar village, Parwan province;
- An IED hit a vehicle of Khurshid TV channel in PD4 of Kabul city killing a journalist and a studio technician. 6 other people were injured;
- 72 government troops defected to the Taliban in Dawlat Shah, Alishang, Alingar and Bad Pakh districts of Laghman province, and Chak district of Wardak province, according to the Taliban.
