- On May 27, Taliban militants and Iranian border guards fought on the outskirts of the border villages of Makaki, Sasuli and Hatam;
- During the clashes, an Iranian soldier and a Taliban militant were killed and several others were wounded;
- Clashes ended on the evening of May 27th and the border guards of the parties created a joint committee to investigate the incident;
- On May 28, Ghasem Rezaei, the deputy head of Iran’s Police and Kioumars Heydari, Commander of Iranian Army’s Ground Forces visited the border areas.
