A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- A policeman shot and killed four other police officers in the Zheray district in the province of Kandahar;
- Al-Qaeda started attempts to recruit Taliban members after the US-Taliban peace agreement reached in Qatar;
- According to the Taliban, 20 government troops were killed or injured in the recent clashes in the Qadis district of Badghis province;
- An intense fighting between the Taliban and government forces was reported in the Shahrak district of Ghor province. The Taliban claims 15 government troops were killed and 18 others were injured.
