A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghainstan:
- ISIS shelled Presidential Palace in Kabul with unguided rockets during the inauguration of the president on March 9. No casualties were reported;
- 13 government troops were killed or wounded, and 4 vehicles were destroyed in clashes in the Marjah district of Helmand province, according to the Taliban;
- The US started the troop withdrawal from the country on March 10. It agreed to reduce its troops from about 12,000 to 8,600 within 135 days.
