- At least 12 people were killed and 179 others were wounded in a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (SVBIED) near a National Directorate of Security office in PD3 of the city of Ghazni;
- ISIS claimed responsibility for a recent bombing at a mosque in Ghazni city. The terrorist group claimed that 40 people were killed. The government version says that 2 people were killed and 20 others were injured;
- The Taliban claimed that 8 children were killed in a government airstrikes in Ghazni province;
- A two-day conference on Afghan peace started in Qatar’s Doha on July 6.
