- The Taliban does have around 60,000 fighters and its manpower continues growing, according to the acting Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Valeryy Semerikov;
- At least 2 people were killed and 20 others were wounded in a blast inside the Mohammadiya mosque in Khak-e-Ghariban area in the city of Ghazni;
- At least 14 civilians were killed and around 30 others were wounded in Taliban shelling in the center of Khwaja Sabz Posh district, Faryab province, according to pro-government sources;
- Clashes between pro-government forces and Taliban members were reported in Chesht, Pashtun Zarghoon, and Gulran in Herat province.
