Military Situation In Afghanistan On April 18, 2019 (Map Update)

• At least 18 persons were killed in clashes between the Taliban and ISIS in the Khogyani district, Ghazni province. According to reports, this number includes 4 ISIS members only;
• In early April, clashes between the Taliban and ISIS members were reported in the Chapa Dara district, Kunar province;
• The Afghan army and police intensified anti-Taliban operations in the province of Zabul. Pro-government sources say that at least 20 Taliban members were killed and 13 others were injured.
