Media: Russia Disrupted Israeli Special Operation In Iran

newsru.co.il

Contributing editor to Vanity Fair Howard Blum writes in his new book how Moscow disrupted a Mossad operation by passing classified information over to Tehran.

According to newsru.co.il, Howard Blum’s In The Enemy’s House is to be published on February 20, 2018, and it will tell, citing Russian and Iranian intelligence sources, how Edward Snowden, former CIA employee, passed all the classified documents he had stolen over to Russia, not limited to just the documents he leaked to the press.

Among the stolen documents was the classified data concerning Israeli special operation in Iran. Blum claims that Moscow had handed the data to Tehran, which then made corrections to its strategy. This led to Israel encountering considerable difficulty during the operation in Tehran and was forced to abort it.

This isn’t the first Blum’s allegation on Israeli intelligence leaks. On November 22, Vanity Fair published his piece on Donald Trump telling Moscow about an alleged classified Israeli counterterrorism operation against ISIS in Syria. ISIS had been developing a new bomb, that looked like a laptop battery, making it extremely difficult to detect. This information allegedly led to multiple countries banning passengers traveling from an accusatory list of Muslim-majority countries from carrying laptops and other portable electronic devices larger than a cell phone on arriving planes.

Howard Blum is an American author and journalist. Formerly a reporter for The Village Voice and The New York Times, Blum is currently a contributing editor at Vanity Fair. He is the author of several non-fiction books, including the New York Times bestseller and Edgar Award winner American Lightning, about the 1910 bombing of The Los Angeles Times building by union members.
