According to a joint investigation by The Washington Post and Der Spiegel, Ukrainian Colonel Roman Chervinsky, a former commander of one of the units of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine, played the central role in the attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines last fall.
According to WP sources from among Ukrainian and European officials, Chervinsky “coordinated” the attack, which took place on September 26, 2022. He was reportedly responsible for logistics and managed a team of six people who rented a yacht and used some deep-sea diving equipment to install explosives on gas pipelines. According to the report, the colonel was not involved in planning the operation, but carried out the orders of some “high-ranking Ukrainian officials” who were subordinate to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny.
In his turn, Chervinsky denies any involvement in the attack. The colonel shared his position through his lawyer, claiming that such lies are “spread by Russian propaganda without any grounds.”
Zelensky allegedly was not aware of the operation of the special forces.
The MSM, which are already blamed to be ‘Russian propaganda’ by Ukrainian officials, are trying their best to hide Washington’s guilt in the scandalous attack.
Chervinsky is very convenient culprit. There is currently investigation of the criminal case against him ongoing in Ukraine. The authorities are trying to establish the degree of his guilt in the devastating Russian strikes at the Kanatovo military airfield in the Kirovograd region in 2022. There is almost no doubt that he will be prisoned. Thus, he could be also take responsibility for any other crimes.
The report that allegedly revealed the culprit was published immediately after the Russian permanent representative to the UN pointed out that the West did not provide any data on the investigation of the terrorist attack on gas pipelines more than a year after it took place.
