A pro-government Palestinain militia, Liwa al-Quds, has deployed its forces to northern Hama in order to support the Syrian Army in its anti-terrorist effort in the Abu al-Duhur area in southern Idlib.
On January 11, the joint militant forces, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham, launched a large-counter attack against the army and its allies in an attempt to force them to retreat from the vicinity of the Abu al-Duhur Airbase. In this situation, the involvement of Liwa al-Quds may help the army to stablize the situation and to liberate the strategic airbase.
