Clashes continued on the Lebanon front on October 27, with Hezbollah launching several attacks and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) responding.
Attacks From Southern Lebanon:
In three separate statements, Hezbollah said that its fighters had targeted the military sites of Abu Dajaj, Misgav Am and al-Sadh on Lebanon’s border with “occupied Palestine” with anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) and other suitable weapons. The group said that the attack al-Sadh resulted in casualties among Israeli troops, and reported material losses in the other two sites
Hezbollah said later in a fourth statement that its fighters fired ATGMs at the military sites of Ruwaisat al-Alam, al-Samaqa and Zabidin in the Israeli-occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms and Kfar Shouba Hills.
The IDF confirmed that Hezbollah targeted several sites with ATGMs and heavy machine guns, but didn’t report any casualties.
In addition, the IDF said that a salvo of rockets that was launched from southern Lebanon toward Israeli territory landed in Syria. Hezbollah didn’t claim responsibility for the attack.
IDF Strikes On Southern Lebanon:
Lebanese media said that the artillery and tanks of the IDF shelled the towns of Chebaa, Aalma al-Chaeb and Yaroun as well as the area of Raba’ al-Tibn. The IDF also targeted a convoy of the Lebanese military near the town of Aitaroun with machine gun fire. None of the attacks resulted in losses.

In addition, an Israeli Iron Dome interceptor reportedly exploded over the towns of al-Adaysa and Rab Thilatin. However, the IDF didn’t announce any interception.

Casualties:
So far, the clashes on the Lebanon front have claimed the lives of seven Israelis -six soldiers and one civilian- 45 fighters of Hezbollah, two fighters from the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, seven Palestinian fighters -three from the Hamas Movement and four from the Islamic Jihad- and four Lebanese civilians -two elderly men and two journalists-.
Conclusion:
Hezbollah and its allies will not likely halt attacks on the Lebanon front until the Israeli war on Gaza is over. Clashes on the front will likely escalate further once the IDF launches its highly-touted invasion of the Strip. The clashes could develop into an all-out war.
