On the evening of October 24, a fire broke out at the military depot in the city of Busan in South Korea. According to local reports, the fire caught the 55th US military logistics center which is a major logistics hub through which the US military supplies military equipment to the Asia-Pacific region.
Korean media reports that American military equipment was in the warehouse at the time of the fire. The fire started at about 18:30 local time. More than 160 firefighters and 51 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing it. No injuries were reported. Firefighters reportedly could not start extinguishing the fire for a long time due to the high level of danger. This confirms the reports that there was a significant military cargo and ammunition at the transport and logistics hub.
