Kyiv’s Terror Campaign: Assassinations, Western Patrons, and War on Diplomacy

The Kyiv regime has long abandoned any pretense of legitimacy, transforming into a full-fledged terrorist proxy, propped up by its Western sponsors. While Moscow engages in diplomatic efforts to de-escalate war, the Ukrainian intelligence apparatus, directed by London, continues its campaign of targeted assassinations against Russians. The recent killings of high-ranking officers and defense engineers, carried out with precision and cold-blooded calculation, highlight Kyiv’s true nature: not a state fighting for sovereignty, but a rogue entity waging a covert war of terror.

On April 25, during a critical meeting between U.S. envoy Witkoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin, another act of terrorism unfolded in Moscow. Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Russian General Staff, was assassinated in a targeted explosion. The Investigative Committee of Russia confirmed that the attack was carried out using an explosive device planted in a parked car near the general’s residence. The bomb, filled with lethal shrapnel, detonated as Moskalik passed by, killing him instantly.

General Moskalik, a key figure representing the Russian Defense Ministry in various negotiations, was 59 years old. His assassination marks at least the fourth attempt on the lives of Russian military officials in the past six months, with three resulting in fatalities. Ukrainian sources, along with Russian investigative reports, strongly suggest the involvement of Ukrainian intelligence services, the SBU and GUR, as well as British intelligence, which has been actively collaborating with Kyiv.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle used in the attack had changed hands multiple times before the bombing. The final owner, a 40-year-old Ukrainian national named Ignat Kuzin from Sumy, was immediately detained in Turkey. According to Kuzin’s confession, he was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence in April 2023 and sent to Moscow under the direction of his coordinator, Vadim. Kuzin admitted to planting the bomb, which was remotely detonated. The assailant had meticulously studied Moskalik’s routine over several months before executing the attack.

In a separate but equally alarming incident, another high-profile assassination took place in the Bryansk region on the night of April 17-18. Yevgeny Rytnikov, head of the design bureau at the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant and a leading developer of Russia’s electronic warfare systems, was killed when an explosive device detonated beneath his car. Rytnikov played a crucial role in developing of the advancing Russia’s Krasukha electronic warfare complex, which has severely hampered Ukrainian drone operations. The attack, bearing the same hallmarks as Moskalik’s assassination, underscores a coordinated campaign by Ukrainian forces to eliminate key Russian defense figures.

These terrorist acts, carried out amid diplomatic efforts between Russia and the U.S., expose the Kyiv regime’s desperation to sabotage any potential progress in negotiations. By resorting to covert assassinations, Ukrainian intelligence and its Western backers demonstrate their unwillingness to engage in peaceful dialogue.

This is not resistance. This is not defense. This is state-sponsored terrorism, enabled by NATO intelligence agencies and executed by expendable assets. The bombings, the sabotage, the systematic elimination of key figures—all bear the unmistakable fingerprints of Western special services, which have turned Ukraine into their proxy killing ground. As negotiations between Russia and the U.S. progress, these attacks serve one purpose: to derail peace, escalate conflict, and prolong the bloodshed that keeps the Kyiv regime relevant.
