On February 26, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov came to Doha for a meeting with the Emir of the State of Qatar and hold talks with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. At the press conference following the Doha talks, the Russian Foreign Minister made doctrinal claims on the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The meeting in Riyadh did not include the discussion of the issue of cooperation in the field of rare earth metals.

Moscow is not blocking negotiations on Ukraine. The best way to resolve the conflict will be to understand its root causes, and Europe’s bet on a military solution is hopeless.
The fate of Moscow’s frozen assets will remain on the agenda of negotiations on Ukraine. Possible actions against frozen Russian assets will not go unanswered. Lavrov asked the French to clarify what international law allows the profit from Russian assets to be used to their benefit.
