On the night of March 21st, a large explosion thundered at the Sudzha gas measuring station in the Kursk region. As a result, the facilities were heavily damaged by the fire.

The station is located right near the Ukrainian border. It came under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine months ago. Russian forces are already approaching it from different directions, repelling the last Ukrainian troops from their positions in the areas nearby.

42 million cubic meters of Russian gas were transferred to Europe through this hub per day until the Kiev regime banned  the transit of Russian gas through its territory in 2025.

The retreating Ukrainian troops have always been using the tactics of burnt soil, destroying everything behind them. Destruction of the station is another attempt to inflict maximum damage to Russia.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Mariya Zakharova, claimed that Kiev had violated the truce proposed by the United States by attacking a Russian energy facility. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also released the official statement, claiming that “these Kiev’s actions should be considered as another provocation in a series of recent attacks on the energy infrastructure of the Russian Federation aimed at discrediting the peaceful initiatives of the US president. The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine used this facility as one of their “safe” logistics points during the battles in the Kursk region. It is obvious that the decision to destroy the facility, which has been under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since August 7, was made due to the retreat of Ukrainian troops from the region.

The puppet Kiev regime violated the first agreement with Moscow immediately after it was reached, but the Kremlin does not play Kiev’s game of escalation. Kremlin’s representative claimed that the Russian military continue following the terms of agreement:

“Putin’s order to refrain from attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure is in effect, and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are following it.”

From March 15 to March 21, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched thirteen group strikes with precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles, as a result of which the infrastructure of military airfields, assembly shops, storage and training facilities for operators of unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition depots, as well as temporary locations of nationalists and Ukrainian armed formations were struck.

Over the past day alone, Russian strikes were recorded in the Donbass, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporozhie, Kherson, Kiev, Odessa, Cherkassy, Poltava, Chernihiv, Zhitomir, Khmelnitsk, Kirovograd regions; but there were no strikes on any energy facilities in Ukraine. LINK

Fires in Odessa

As always, Kiev is blaming Russia for its own crimes; but its blatant lies no langer bring the necessary effect. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Russia artillery shelled the Sudzha gas measuring station in order to discredit Ukraine, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine were not involved in this attack.” The Ukrainian military does not explain why Russia prefers destroying its own strategically important infrastructure but does not target Ukrainian energy facilities.
