The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, and the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, released between September 17 and 19 several videos documenting some of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) recent losses in the Gaza Strip.
One of the videos released by the al-Qassam Brigades shows an attack on an Israeli Namer armored personnel carrier as well as a Caterpillar D9 armored bulldozer being disabled with rocket-propelled grenades then set on fire by the group’s fighters to the east of the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.
The group released another video showing its fighters targeting and damaging two Namer armored personnel carriers of the IDF in the vicinity of the communication company to the west of the Kuwaiti hospital in Rafah using a heavy explosive device and rocket-propelled grenades.
Another video released by the al-Quds Brigades showed recent rocket attacks by the group that targeted Ashkelon, Sderot and other Israeli settlements near Gaza.
So far, the IDF has lost 348 troops during ground operations against Hamas and other Palestinian factions in Gaza and along its border. In addition, around 2,280 others have been reportedly wounded in the Strip. In addition, over 500 vehicles were hit there, according to Hebrew media.
On September 18, four Israeli troops were killed and several others were wounded. after entering a booby-trapped building in the Tel Sultan neighborhood in Rafah.
Meanwhile on the Palestinian side, the death toll from the Israeli war has exceeded 41,000, with women and children making up most of the casualties.
Despite taking more losses and failing to achieve any of its main objectives, Israel appears to be determined to go on with its war on Gaza.
