On January 29, Israeli aircraft launched strikes on the Syrian capital. Strikes hit the area of Sayed Zainab on the southern outskirts of Damascus.

According to preliminary reports from the area, the attack resulted in military and civilian casualties. Their number is yet to be revealed.
A military source told SANA reporter that “ Nearly at 13:00 p.m. on Monday, the Zionist enemy launched an aerial act of aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting a number of points in southern Damascus.”
Some preliminary reports claimed that the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) headquarters was the target of the attack.
The last Israeli attack in Damascus took place on January 20. The IRGC confirmed deaths of four of its military advisers on the western outskirts of the city. LINK
