The Israel Defense Forces Twitter account once again failed in its attempt to create a meme, this time aimed at Iranian women who “breed terrorism.”

The IDF, at this point, infamous for its ability to post tasteless and unfunny “memes” aimed at Iran and/or Palestine and/or Hezbollah, this time tweeted a presumed outline of an Iranian pregnant woman, which is about to give birth to “terror.”
Cool of you guys to put the genocide on pause for a minute to tweet this hilarious meme!

“Iran breeding in the Middle East,” similarly to what racist movements say towards those they hate, quite similarly to how Nazis referred to those “inferior.”
Expectedly, Twitter users didn’t take lightly to the new row of absurdity.

To the Nazis, one of the unforgivable faults of my extended family in Poland was that they bred. Hitler sure fixed that "problem"

I don't know what this means. Do the weird lines just make it scarier?
— Charles/تشرلز (@WeltGeist) April 7, 2019
Horribly racist. You have become what we fled from and fought against in the 1940s. Delete this. In fact delete this account and beg the Palestinians for forgiveness. And the Iranian people.

just some friendly advice, pretending you aren’t a racist organization is going to be much harder if you tweet things like this
— Jesse Benn (@JesseBenn) April 7, 2019
We are living in a simulation?? how can a whole country’s défense force tweet something like this
— Iris☕️ (@Irisdixonn) April 7, 2019
this shouldn’t be on an official military page. maybe keep memes out of delicate political situations?? this isn’t cool & is just creating more division.

Some even considered that the US approach towards Iran is wrong:
It's funny. The more you guys do this, it makes me (and prob others) read books like @stephenkinzer 's All The Shah's Men. Then I start thinking that maybe, just maybe, we Americans have really owe the Iranian people an apology. Shutting crap like this down would be a nice start.

While others questioned whether the tweet by the Defense forces helps keep Israelis “safe.”
Please explain how this tweet helps keep a single Israeli safe.

Israel’s been a vocal and constant opponent of Iran, accusing of it spreading “its tentacles” all across the Middle East: in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, etc.
Keeping in mind the most recent debacle with tweets using popular culture to openly mock Palestinians, one can reach two conclusions. It is up to debate which one is more significant.
- The IDF urgently need anothers individual responsible for their Social Media accounts, because this is simply an embarrassment;
- Israel, with the US (and not only) supports in any and all of its conduct, has taken itself so seriously, that its officials and army apparently believe that whatever they do or say is acceptable and “good.” Especially compared to the “evil” Palestinians, Iranians, and anybody else who is “anti-Semitic.” Since it is apparent, one can be “anti-“anything, but being “anti-Semitic,” is completely unacceptable. The definition of “anti-Semitism” is also becoming more and more vague with each subsequent accusation.
In addition, rumors surfaced that the US plans to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization. In response, the Iranian parliament voted with 255 in favor out of 290 MPs to reciprocate any such decision. The MPs warned that the response will make the “the leaders of America, who themselves are the creators and supporters of the terrorist groups in the region, regret their foolish actions.”
In short: if the US designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization, the Islamic Republic would designate the US Armed Forces as a terrorist organization in response.
