The Iraqi Defense Ministry has reported that Russia supplied Iraq with a new batch of Mi-28NE “Night Hunter” military helicopters.
“These helicopters will make a great contribution in support of ground forces in their operations aimed at targeting terrorist positions and destroying [their] armoured vehicle packed with explosives,” the ministry statement says.
The Iraqi military has been actively using Mi-28NE military helicopters in operations against the ISIS terrorist group across the country. Recently, helicoters have been used near Fallujah.
