Iran Vows To Respond More Decisively To Any Attack By U.S. And Israel

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on July 28 that the Islamic Republic would respond to any new attack by the United States and Israel in a “more decisive manner.”

Israel launched a surprise attack against Iran on June 13, stating that its goal was to cripple Iran’s nuclear program. A ceasefire was suddenly announced on June 24, just two days after the U.S. joined the war by attacking three key nuclear sites.

The Israeli attack on Iran claimed the lives of more than 1,000 people. Iran retaliated with a series of deadly ballistic missile attacks that killed 28 people in Israel.

Araghchi was apparently responding to recent remarks by the U.S. President Donald Trump, who had threatened earlier in the day to “wipe out” Iran’s nuclear program if it resumed atomic activities.

“Iran knows exactly what happened during the recent American-Israeli aggression, both to us and our adversaries—including the extent of blows that are still being censored. If aggression is repeated, we will not hesitate to react in a more decisive manner and in a way that will be IMPOSSIBLE to cover up,” Araghchi said in a post to X.

“No one in their right mind would abandon the fruits of tremendous investment in homegrown and peaceful technology which is saving lives—and simply because bulling foreigners demand it,” he continued.

“All should know that we Iranians have NOT BOUGHT our PEACEFUL nuclear program; we have BUILT IT WITH BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS. The technology and know-how that our FORMIDABLE human resources have developed CANNOT be destroyed by bombings. Yes, our enrichment facilities are severely damaged, but our DETERMINATION IS NOT,” he added.

During a visit to Scotland on July 28, Trump maintained the previous strikes on Iran “wiped out their nuclear possibilities” and said Iran has been sending out “nasty signals.”

“They can start again. If they do, we’ll wipe it out faster than you can wave your finger at it,” he added.

Just a day earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on July 27 threatened Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“I want to convey a clear message to Khamenei the dictator,” said Katz during a visit to the Ramon Airbase in southern Israel on July 27, according to his office. “If you continue to threaten Israel, our long arm will again reach Tehran and with even greater force — and this time to you personally. Do not threaten, lest you be harmed.”

Israel could launch a new attack on Iran in the near future with support from the U.S. The Islamic Republic is guaranteed to respond. Nevertheless, this does not mean that Israel will be deterred.
