Units of the Syrian Arab Army and the Tiger Forces have liberated the town of al-Hobait in southern Idlib from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) and its allies.

According to pro-government sources, government troops are aiming to cut off supply lines heading from the Idlib area to northern Hama. In the case of success, the army and its allies will be able to isolate and eliminate militants’ defense in the northern Hama countryside.
