Syria’s news agency SANA released a fresh video from the town of Jibeen, which was recently liberated from miltiants by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies. The video shows several pieces of military equipment destroyed during the clashes, including an armoured vehicle.
Jibeen was liberated on July 29. Since then, SAA units have made a push towards the key militant strong point of al-Zakah. They liberated the village of Wadi Hasmein and reached al-Zakah itself, but failed to achieve the key goal of the push.
According to pro-government sources, government troops are going to make a new attempt to capture al-Zakah within the next 24 hours.
