New footage from Ukraine showed a successful attack of the Russian Lancet UAV on a patrol boat in service with the Ukrainian Navy. The attack took place in the Ukrainian rear far from the frontlines.

Russian UAV struck the patrol boat sailing along the Southern Bug River near the city of Mykolaiv. The target was successfully struck at a large distance of about 50 kilometers from the nearest Russian positions.

The attack was filmed by another Russian reconnaissance UAV, which faced no obstacles in the deep Ukrainian rear areas.

Judging by the footage, the Russian Lancet struck the cabin area on the right side of the boat.

Some experts supposed that the target of the Russian strike was one of the Island-class patrol boats from the United States transferred to Ukraine. In total, the United States handed over 4 Island-class patrol boats to the Kiev regime, after they were disposed in the US. One of them, the Slavyansk, was destroyed along with part of the crew back in March 2022. The other boats are the Starobilsk, Fastov and Sumy boats, which were still in service.

After the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, the Lancet drone was upgraded and the hostilities revealed that it could easily reach targets at a range of up to 50 km, which significantly expanded the list of targets being hit in the Ukrainian rear regions. LINK The strikes with the Lancets are often launched in pair with the ZALA reconnaissance drone, which searches for targets and points the Lancet at them.
