The newly shared video shows a devastating Russian strike with Iskander missile launched on February 26. The attack was filmed by Russian reconnaissance UAV.
Russian Iskander missile with cluster warhead destroyed the training site of the UAV operators of the 442nd separate battalion of the unmanned systems Luftwaffe of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was deployed at an abandoned airfield near the city of Zaporozhie.
The footage shows mobile launchers and a large number of Ukrainian soldiers. As a result of the strike, eight launchers were reportedly destroyed, and at least 85 Ukrainian UAV operators were killed and injured.
The Luftwaffe brigade of the Ukrainian army directly refers to the Air Force of Nazi Germany. It was formed on the basis of the Kryvyi Rih territorial defense. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also have an Edelweiss mountain assault brigade, named after the 1st Infantry Division of Nazi Germany.
