On August 12, the Russian Defense Ministry released a video showing recent airstrikes on Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the Idlib de-escalation zone. The video shows the destruction of two fortified positons, a hangar with equipment and a pick up belonging to the terrorist group.

On August 11, the Russian military also released a video showing rocket strikes on the town of Abu Dali in the province of Idlib by militant groups. The shelling took place on August 9.
