The Ukrainian military has suffered heavy losses in the recent failed attempts to storm the Zaporozhye NPP.

On the morning of September 1, the Kiev regime attempted a major provocation to disrupt the arrival of the IAEA group of experts at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Two sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a total of up to 60 people were destroyed after they landed on seven high-speed motorboats on the coast of the Kakhovsky reservoir. In an hour, another attempt of Ukrainian forces to land on two self-propelled barges a few kilometers from the Zaporozhye NPP near the settlement of Vodiane was prevented.

On September 2, two groups of about 42 small boats with more than 250 servicemen of the special operations forces of the AFU and foreign mercenaries attempted to land on the coast of the Kakhovsky reservoir in the area of Energodar and Dneproprudny. As a result of the failed operation, 20 boats were destroyed. The rest of the boats left the area in the direction of the Ukrainian coast. Russian artillery hit the remnants of the Ukrainian landing force when they came ashore. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, the AFU lost 47 servicemen, including 10 foreign mercenaries. 23 others were wounded.

Kiev denies any reports of failed provocations. However, the bodies of the dead Ukrainian servicemen have now been washed ashore. Some of them were seen near the dam in the city of Nikopol, which is under the control of the Ukrainian military.
