After prolonged violent clashes, the city of Popasnaya recently came under the control of the Luhansk People’s Republic. A local resident described the fighting on the streets of the city.
The locals confirmed the presence of foreign “volunteers” fighting side by side with Ukrainian units in the town. According to the testimony, Polish-speaking militants shot at civilians and did not let them out of their basements even for water.
Ukrainian tanks were deployed near residential buildings and purposefully fired at shelters where local civilians were hiding.
