Security forces and army are carrying out a complex opreration against ISIS cells remaining in the Homs-Deir Ezzor desert in eastern Syria.
According to pro-government sources, they have already been able to clear over 5,700km2 over the past two weeks. On June 20, the state-media declared that army troops and their allies liberated 3,700km2 in eastern Homs and southern Deir Ezzor.
Additionally, an operation against ISIS cells is ongoing in eastern al-Suwayda where government forces have also achieved some gains recently liberating at least 11 various locations.
