On May 10th, Ansar Allah fighters thwarted an attack by the Saudi-led forces in the northeastern Saadah and northern al-Jawf provinces.
The clashes took place after Saudi coalition attempted to take control over the Khar heights in northeastern Saadah province and al-Dhahra mountain in northern al-Jawf province. Ansar Allah (widely known as the Houthis) reportedly inflicted loses to Saudi-led forces and captured some weapons. The exact number of casualties remains unknown.
The same day, a Houthi Qasef 2K suicide drone targeted Abha International Airport in the southern Saudi province of ‘Asir.
On its side, the Saudi-led coalition claimed that the drone was intercepted.
The Qasef-2k is an upgraded variant of the Qasef-1 drone, which is a copy of the Iranian Ababil-2. The suicide drone is armed with a heavy high-explosive fragmentation, HE-FRAG, warhead that explodes 20 m above the target.
