On December 30, the Yemeni Air Defense (loyal to the Houthis government) shot down two reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.
According to the report, one of the drones belonging to the coalition was shot down by a “surface-to-air missile” in the Al-Salif area of Hodeidah province. Another one was downed in the Razih district in Sa’adah province.
The Vestel Karayel surveillance, reconnaissance and combat UAV/UCAV system developed by Turkey was downed near Hodeidah. Photos and the video show the moment when the UAV was downed and its vestiges.
