On February 15, Houthi fighters conducted a hit and run attack against a position of the Saudi Army in the al-Shabkah area of the southern Saudi province of Najran, according to the Houthis’ media wing. The Houthis reportedly killed and injured several Saudi Army soldiers and captured several weapons and units of military equipment.
The Houthis also attacked several positions of the Saudi Army in the Saudi southern province of Asir. Houthi fighters killed several Saudi Army soldiers and destroyed two armored vehicles of the Saudi Army.
In the southern Saudi province of Jizan, a Saudi Army position was burned to the ground after the Houthis had managed to hit the fuel depot inside it with a single artillery round.
The Yemeni al-Masirah TV reported that Houthi snipers killed five Saudi Army soldiers in the Saudi village of Qamar in Jizan province.
The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen had conducted several military operations to secure the Yemeni-Saudi border since the outbreak of the war in 2015. However, the Houthis are still capable of conducting successful cross border attacks.
