The Houthis continued their military operations in the southern Saudi province of Jizan for the fourth day in a row and attacked several positions of the Saudi military around the town of al-Qimah, according to the media wing of the Yemeni group.
Furthermore, Houthi fighters launched many improvised rocket-assisted munition (IRAMs) at several Saudi military positions in Jizan and in the nearby province of Najran, on October 14.
Saudi sources acknowledged that two soldiers and one officer of the Saudi military were killed during clashes with the Houthis in southern Saudi Arabia in the last 24 hours. Observers believe that dozens of Saudi soldiers were killed and injured in the recent wave of cross-border attacks.
These cross-border attacks forced the Saudi-led coalition to focus on the southern border of Saudi Arabia instead of planning a new offensive on the coastal Yemeni city of al-Hudaydah. This is for sure a tactical achievement for the Houthis.
