Fighters of Ansar Allah (also known as the Houthis) have ambushed a military convoy in the southern Saudi province of Najran, the media says.
The attack allegedly took place near the al-Sadis military base late on July 13. According to pro-Houthi sources, at least 10 Saudi troops and a few battle tanks were destroyed in the attack. However, this number sounds overestimated.
Separately, the Houthis launched a Zelzal 2-type missile at a military camp in the southwestern Saudi province of Asir.
After the failed Saudi-backed attack on the Houthis-held port city of al-Hudaydah in western Yemen, the conflict between the sides have once again turned into a partisan war with the Houthis carrying out hit and run attacks against Saudi targets.
