Hezbollah launched on May 11 yet another wave of attacks from its heartland, southern Lebanon, against the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

In separate statements, Hezbollah said its fighters struck a building occupied by Israeli troops the settlement of Metula using “suitable weapons,” carried out two attacks with guided missiles and artillery against the Ramya site, destroyed surveillance equipment in the Jal al-Alam, shelled the al-Samaqa site and fired rockets at the site of Ruwaisat al-Qarn.

The attacks were carried out in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip and as a response to recent Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, the group noted in its statements.

The Hebrew media didn’t report any casualties or material losses as a result of the attacks and the IDF didn’t annonce any retaliatory strikes.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza last October, Hezbollah and its allies began launching near-daily attacks against the IDF in support of the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions in the Strip.

Hezbollah intensified its attacks on Israel earlier this week after the IDF launched a ground operation in the area of Rafah in southern Gaza, where more than 1,4 million Palestinains have been taking shelter.

So far, the border clashes have resulted in nine civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 14 IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 400 people have been killed, including 279 fighters of Hezbollah and well over 70 civilians.
