Lebanon’s Hezbollah shot down an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near the southern border on September 9.
According to Israeli media, the UAV was downed during “routine activity,” and that there “wasn’t any intelligence leak”. Pro-Israeli sources described the UAV as a “small drone”.
Hezbollah provided no details regarding the type of the UAV downed over southern Lebanon.
Earlier, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah vowed that Hezbollah will not allow Irael to violate Lebanon’s airspace anytime longer.
“This is the start of a new phase, there is a new battlefield which is targeting Israel’s drones in Lebanon’s skies, and it is in the hands of Hezbollah field commanders,” he said.
