Hezbollah Shares Footage Of Recent Attacks On Israeli Site, Surveillance Radar

Hezbollah’s Military Media released on May 28 two videos documenting recent attacks on border sites of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

The first video shows what Hezbollah described as a “focused fire attack” on the Ramia site. The group fighters fired rocket-propelled grenades at fortification and military equipment in the site from a few meters away during the attack, which took place on May 28. Heavy mortars and anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) were also used.

In the other video, Hezbollah fighters are seen destroying “surveillance equipment” in the al-Abad site using an ATGM on May 26. The attack targeted what appears to be an Israeli-made Rada RPS-84 surveillance radar, which can be used to detect everything from drones, to rockets and ground vehicles.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip in October of last year, Hezbollah and its allies in Lebanon began launching near-daily attacks against the IDF in support of the Hamas Movement and other armed factions in the Palestinian enclave.

In recent weeks, Hezbollah intensified its attacks as the IDF stepped up its strikes on southern Lebanon. The group carried out 31 attacks and mourned five of its fighters between May 26 and 27.

So far, the border clashes have resulted in ten civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of at least 14 IDF soldiers and reservists. On the Lebanese side, more than 400 people have been killed, including 304 fighters of Hezbollah and at least 80 civilians.
