Hezbollah announced on September 8 that it had attacked a naval site of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) with suicide drones.

The attack targeted troops deployment areas within the site, which is located in the Israeli area of Rosh HaNikra close to the border with Lebanon, the group said in a statement.

In three other statements, the group announced that its fighters targeted surveillance equipment of the IDF in the sites of Ruwisat al-Alam and al-Malikiyah and shelled a gathering of Israeli troops in the height of Abu Dajaj along the Lebanese border.

The attacks were carried out in support of the Palestinian people and resistance in the Gaza Strip as well as in response to recent Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, Hezbollah noted in its four statements. The Hebrew media didn’t report any losses.

Late on September 7, three personnel from the Lebanese Civil Defense were killed in an Israeli drone strike near the southern Lebanese town of Froun. As an initial response, Hezbollah fired more than 50 rockets at the northern Israeli settlements of Kiryat Shemona and Shamir.

Hezbollah and its allies began launching near-daily attacks against the IDF in support of the Gaza Strip in Gaza right after the outbreak of the Israeli war on the Palestinian enclave in October of last year.

So far, the limited confrontation has resulted in 26 civilian deaths in Israel and the occupied Golan as well as the deaths of at least 20 soldiers and security officers. On the Lebanese side, more than 870 people have been killed, including 433 fighters of Hezbollah and over 150 civilians.
