The armed wing of the Hamas Movement on December 15 said its fighters killed and wounded several Israeli troops and targeted more than 100 vehicles of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in battles across the Gaza Strip over the past five days.

In a recorded message, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeida said that several Israeli troops were killed or wounded in different ambushes.

He added that the Hamas fighters used bunker-busting grenades, destroying houses where Israeli soldiers were taking positions.

In addition, Hamas released videos of recent clashes with the IDF in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza and the city of Khan Yunis in the southern part of the Strip. The footage shows several Israeli main battle tanks and armored personnel carriers being hit.

Another video showing a joint mortar attack by al-Qassam and the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, against a gathering of Israeli troops to the east of the city of Khan Yunis was also released by Hamas.

Separately, the al-Quds Brigades shared footage of recent mortar attacks against Israeli gatherings of troops and equipment in different directions.

The IDF’s death toll from ground operations in Gaza, which began on October 27, rose to 119 on December 15, according to Israeli official announcements. More than 600 others have been reportedly wounded, some are still in a life-threatening condition.

Israel developed ground operations in northern Gaza and launched an offensive in Khan Yunis on December 1 after a week-long ceasefire. However, not much ground has been gained by the IDF since then.
