On November 27, Israel and Hamas reached an agreement to extend the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for two days. The deal was mediated by Qatar and a representative of the Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the decision of the beligerants.

Al Jazeera reported that Hamas confirmed the extension of the truce. According to The Times of Israel, Tel-Aviv has not yet confirmed the decision. Benjamin Netanyahu has previously stated his readiness to extend the ceasefire in exchange for the release of 10 Israeli prisoners per day.

The four-day truce between Israel and Hamas began on the morning of November 24. On Sunday, Israel and Hamas began implementing the second stage of the agreement and began hostage/prisoner exchange. The deal was constantly under threat of disruption. Both sides accused each other of non-compliance with the conditions. The mediation efforts of Egypt and Qatar are helping to resolve disputes so far.
