The number of civilians killed by Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip has reached 10,328 people, including 4,237 are children. The number of wounded has increased to 25,965, according to the official report by the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian enclave.

Since 7 October, about 1,071 families lost members as a result of Israeli attacks. There are 2,350 reports of missing persons, including 1,300 children. The victims include, 192 medical personnel and 48 journalists killed. These are only cases that were confirmed.

Israeli strikes put vital facilities, like hospitals and shops, out of service, or destroy them. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said Israeli rockets exploded twice overnight 50 meters from the Al-Quds hospital in Gaza City.

The Indonesian Foreign Ministry rejected Israel’s statement that the Indonesian hospital, built with charitable funds from Jakarta in the Gaza Strip, is located above underground Hamas facilities and next to the launch site of unguided rockets. However, more strikes hit the area of the facility.

“The Indonesian hospital in Gaza is an institution built by the Indonesian people exclusively for humanitarian purposes and to meet the medical needs of the Palestinian people,” the diplomatic department claimed.

At least 70% of the residents in the Gaza Strip have left their homes since October 7, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.

On November 7, the Israel Defense Forces reopened the Salah al-Din Highway to let civilians evacuate from the northern Gaza Strip to the south. The humanitarian corridor was opened for four hours.

Israel has released a video showing hundreds of Gazans, many with their hands raised and with white flags, moving on foot towards the southern part of the enclave.

The Egyptian Red Crescent Society said that a total of 448 trucks had entered the Gaza Strip, bringing 9,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the population of the besieged enclave. About half of the cargo is food, and about a quarter are medical items and medicines.

Despite some international efforts, the humanitarian crisis is deepening, while the UN Security Council again failed to reach a resolution on the conflict between Israel and Hamas. On November 7, the members of the Council failed to agree because while many wanted to call on the warring parties for a “humanitarian ceasefire” in order to provide much-needed assistance to the civilian population of the besieged Palestinian enclave, the United States continues to insist on the concept of “humanitarian pauses”.

While the UN remains inactive, Netanyahu claims that ‘Israel will have overall responsibility for security in the Gaza Strip’.

“Israel will have overall responsibility for security in the Gaza Strip for an indefinite period of time, because we have seen what happens when we don’t have it,” Netanyahu told ABC News in an interview broadcast on Monday evening.

He claimed that Israel would consider the possibility of “small tactical pauses” to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid or the release of hostages from the Gaza Strip. At the same time, he again rejected calls for a ceasefire.
