French Defense Minister Florence Parley has threatened Syria with more missile strikes if there are reports about chemical weapons usage by Damascus.
“The goal of the [April 14] strike against Syria was to prevent Bashar Assad from repeating such attack. If this happens, we can consider the possibility of repeated strikes,” Parley said on air on the radio station RTL on May 8.
France, the US and the UK carried out a missile strike on Syria on April 14 justifying their actions with allegations that the Syrian government used chemical weapons in the town of Douma on April 7.
However, France and its allies were not able to provide any evidence confirming their claims besides social media posts.
