As the ASL Bauhinia remains adrift in open waters, investigations are ongoing to determine the specifics of the incident and any potential lapses in safety protocols. The possibility of the incident being linked to attacks by Yemeni military forces has been ruled out, especially in light of the cessation of military operations in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, which aligns with the recent Gaza ceasefire agreement. However, observers note that the US and Israel may continue to portray Yemeni waters as unsafe, potentially to justify military actions against Yemen or to categorize the Ansar Allah movement as a terrorist entity.
