At October 15 talks in Luxembourg, foreign ministers of the European Union will formally approve the sanctions on Russia justifying blaiming Moscow for alleged chemical attacks in Syria and the Skripal poisoning case.

Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Jeremy Hunt claimed that new sanctions on countries which allegedly use chemical weapons will help “redraw the red line” on the use of the “horrific” substances.

“These new sanctions are vital, but they are not the end of the story,” he stated.

The British diplomat also drew attention to the ongoign cyberstandoff claiming that there are states with a hostile behaviour which has to be punished.

The sanctions will reportedly impose travel bans and asset freezes on Russian intelligence chiefs and “hackers” involved in the alleged Russia-led cyber attacks on Western states.
